While staying in Yuma, we met some real nice people. One of the couples we met lived here in this 5th wheel trailer. Jerry built a set of stairs up to his trailer and made them so he could take them down (totally disassemble them into pieces of lumber) fairly easily and pack them into his pickup. A few others took notice and headed to Home Depot for lumber.
Kirt's regular strawberry and asparagus stand. The guy is from Dallas, Oregon. He has a Christmas tree farm in Oregon but buys his strawberries & asparagus out of Irvine, CA and sells them in Yuma.
Did you ever see a postal worker fill up at a gas station? This one was at Circle K in Yuma. I was trying to be discreet while taking her pic. I didn't want her to go postal on me :-)
There are lots of drinking water stands in the desert. "Almost" as many as there are Starbucks in the NW.
How about this for a unique ad for the bar????
In this game, it was girls against guys!
Went here for lunch with Judy and Jay Cox. We sat on the front porch patio. It was delicious!
Waiting outside our resort for Judy & Jay to pick us up for lunch.
Our little lunch setting on the porch.
Judy and Jay Cox. Judy waves good-bye. We left Yuma the next day.
Now this is a serious bingo players bag and "dabs?"
Judy has lots and lots of dabs! They were headed to the Paradise Casino for some serious Bingo playing!
These are great pictures. How fun to document your trip every day. Looks like you guys are having a great time. We are leaving for Florida soon. We'll be in MS and Florida for a little over a month. Ready for the sunshine after a long tax season in Portland. Hope we can get together this summer.
ReplyDeleteLove to you both.
