March 28th - Friends of Yuma

While staying in Yuma, we met some real nice people. One of the couples we met lived here in this 5th wheel trailer. Jerry built a set of stairs up to his trailer and made them so he could take them down (totally disassemble them into pieces of lumber) fairly easily and pack them into his pickup. A few others took notice and headed to Home Depot for lumber.

Kirt's regular strawberry and asparagus stand.  The guy is from Dallas, Oregon. 
He has a Christmas tree farm in Oregon but buys his strawberries & asparagus out of Irvine,
CA and sells them in Yuma.

Did you ever see a postal worker fill up at a gas station?  This one was at Circle K
in Yuma.  I was trying to be discreet while taking her pic.  I didn't want her to go
postal on me :-)

There are lots of drinking water stands in the desert.  "Almost" as many as there
are Starbucks in the NW.

How about this for a unique ad for the bar????

Kirt and our new friend, Kaye, playing shuffleboard.  Jerry and Kaye taught us
how to play.  It was 7:00 in the evening; the temp was in the 70's.  Talk about a gorgeous nite! 
The courts at the Yuma Palms are like glass.  You will be shot or
hanged if you "think" about walking on these courts!  The Arizona tournaments are
held on these premier courts! 

In this game, it was girls against guys! 

Went here for lunch with Judy and Jay Cox.  We sat on the front porch patio.
It was delicious!
