February 8, 2013

This past week has seen temperatures of 70 - 73 degrees and sunny. Hard to believe but we sometimes say,"it's a bit chilly."

We toured around a bit to see some of the area. Hit the Camping World store and picked up some new chairs.

Holly has been watching the birds (so what's new???)  She actually had a bald eagle fly right over her while sitting in her lounge chair behind the Road Runner.  We have a hummingbird feeder on a shepherd's hook right next to "the house."  Hummers visit it regularly - not matter how close you're sitting to it.  They sit in the tree and chirp and sing to us.  I took a pic of one with my phone and I swear it was yellow.

Holly stopped by to say hi to her friend, Red, who was lying by her pool in Fountain Hills.  She gave us some lemons which we picked right off their tree.  Delicious!  She also hooked me up with her Hair Salon so I could get my shaggy locks trimmed :-)  The girl who cut my hair was a rock lover too.  She had gorgeous rocks at her hair station from nearby areas.  She had turquoise, amethyst, copper & petrified wood.  That was a good omen right from the start!  (Needless to say, she gave me a great hair cut.  I told her I want to take her with me!)
Had a visitor to the campsite. Not too sure what it is but he is very bold and would probably
have eaten popcorn out of Holly's hand if she would have let him.

Can you see the face at the top of this mountain?  This is Red Mountain (seen from Fountain Hills)

This is the back of our RV spot and the view of the mountains turning red at sunset.

This is the Indian name of our RV Resort.  Can you pronounce it?  We can't :-)

Went to Gold Canyon RV Resort to visit Geri & Earl.  Had lunch sitting at their "picnic table."
We surprised them by showing up with Marilyn & Monte as guests.  It sure is great to have good friends!!!!

Here are the 3 hot babes who used to "run" the Admin Bldg of the Beaverton School District :-)
