Saturday - February 9

Saturday morning was chilly but it was sooo good to see some sun after hearing hard rain during the night.  I did a little wandering around the park and met this very nice young girl.  She, her husband, and their 11 year old son live in a motor home and travel the southwest with their business of installing screens on RV's.  Her husband measures and installs and she has her industrial Pfaff sewing machine to sew the trim around the screens.  They do very nice work and did at least 7 RV's in our park alone.  They home school their son and  she said he gets hands-on learning in every area they travel to.  They visit museums and historical places, as well.

This is the mobile operation where they make RV screens right on-site.

You can't tell from this picture but this is the BIGGEST American flag I have ever seen.  It is at a Ford dealership in Mesa.

How's this for a unique windshield screen?

Another lovely sunset (taken thru the window of the motor home) Friday Night

We officially had .008" of rain Friday night so it was enough to get everything wet. It cleared up only for a short time in the morning so the whole day was mostly cloudy (with sun breaks, as they say in the Northwest) and only in the 40's and low 50's. Better than some places in New England but not too good for the desert.

Saturday night we were invited to Tom and Red's for hors d'oeuvres.  We were joined by Dick & Diane and Diane's partner in real estate, Melinda and her husband Mike.  We had a great time visiting, meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Sunday morning was "chilly" or cold if you're not used to freezing temperatures. Our thermometer read 32 degrees at sunup. There was even enough frost on the car to scrape the windows. I guess we have to wait until Thursday to see the 70's again. Trust me, I am not complaining. The sun is out!!!
