March 13th The Road to Yuma

Our friends from PA, Bud & Doris.  We met them in the Rincon West RV Park.
Bud invited us over for chili and hot dogs.

Our last pass by our Garden Railroad in the park.

Office, Rec Room & Craft Rooms at Rincon West.

And lush green grass int he desert!

They say these dead-looking palm trees will come back.

There is our Road Runner - we're heading out!

Bye bye road construction.  (always nice to get a higher view from the Road Runner)

Arizona does a nice job of decorating along the freeways.

Picacho Peak coming from the south.

More lovely highway art.

And acres and acres of lush green fields between Tucson & Phoenix.

What is the Butterfield Trail, anyway?  We couldn't find out.

We will have to visit here another year.  We didn't make it down there this year.

Someone told us: you have to try a date shake!  They are wonderful!
I'm looking forward to it.

Not sure what these are for.  They are still constructing more and there are rows
and rows of them.  Kirt thought something to do with hydroponic growing?  They
aren't really solar panels - they're shiny metal.

Highway 8 to Yuma.

Didn't realize there are mountains to cross to get to Yuma.

Lots of lettuce from those green fields!

One lone large ranch house with zillions and zillions of stinky cows crammed together.
Normally, Holly gets nostalgic when she smells cows - but these stunk!

Oh Oh!....  Another market!

One of the spots in the Yuma Palms RV Resort.

Holly likes this flower pot.

Our waitress at the Italian Restaurant where we ate in Yuma .

Not after dinner mints .... but GOOD N' PLENTY!!!!!!!!
Kirt's favorite!

One of the Casitas built on an RV lot in our park.  Wait till you see pictures of
more of them1
