March 8th Touring Tucson

While we have been in the Tuscon area for 10 days we have come to find out that one day a while back they decided to dig up each and every street in the city and take their sweet time about repairs. Probably a great place to sell wheel alignments.

This city has become so spread out, it took us a couple of days to find the nicer suburbs.  (Those pictures will probably appear in a later blog.)

The old El Con Shopping Center is still here but looks a lot different from the 70's (i.e., no Levy's Dept. Store)

This entire picture is a painting on the Boys & Girls' Club wall.

And they're adding a new, bigger court house.  Personally, I liked the old one in the old spanish style architecture.

I think of this as the old court house.

Instead of going inside the old courthouse to get married.... they opted for outside in front.

I don't think we've mentioned that we see Border Patrol cars, trucks, suv's - EVERYWHERE!

A part of downtown but more road construction!

An old Catholic Church on Irvington in South Tucson.  I just love the
architecture of these gorgeous old churches and missions.

At sunset - some winds and some clouds roll in.
