March 14th - Around the Hood

We made our way to Yuma and Yuma Palms RV. This park is a little different and unique in that they have "Casitas" mixed in. They are a little bit like a park model trailer that we see in a lot of places but only a little different. A park model is 400 square feet and these are more along the lines of 750 to 800 square feet. They are factory built and brought in without a roof. Then a crew comes in and puts the tile roof on and stuccoes the siding.  Some are a home alone and some are homes to park your RV next to.
Casita with small garage on the side.

There aren't as many 4 wheelers and golf carts used as transportation because town is still a few miles away but there are still some cool rides for running around in the desert.
Fake grass around a fake green. Looks pretty good and you don't have to water it or mow it.

One of the two pools.

A little cafe under the shade next to the pools.

And of course, flowers.  Holly loves the smell of petunias.

Several types of desert bushes are blooming.

This is a Casita without an RV slot. And you own the lot.

The "Hood"
One thing about this hood that we don't like is the street lights everywhere!
In fact, it is so bright all nite that the birds chirp and sing all nite long.  (I'm
not sure if I already wrote this but the neighbor figured they do so because it
is soooo bright!

Front "yard" of a home.

There are a few for sale and one that had sold recently.

Rv parking and a small "garage" for stuff.

2 story Casita.

We toured a couple of homes that were for sale. One was $179,000 and one was $267,000. We figured one should be $49,500 and the other $75,900 but what do we know?
