March 15th - Yuma Prison

We took off to see the main event when you are in Yuma Arizona. The Yuma Territorial Prison!! Who among us doesn't love a good prison?
The outlook atop a bunker.

The view from the bunker. The Colorado River is inbetween the trees.
The Gila and Colorado Rivers meet here.

Prison visitor's center.  (This grass is real!)

Looking down on the Colorado River. We've seen this river in a lot of different places during our travels.

A little like some Holiday Inns we've stayed at.

Entrance to the exercise yard.

The Yard.

Picture of what was the library AND.. a cute librarian.

Librarian behind bars.

Tools for the prisoners to try and make weapons out of.

I said, barber's chair. Holly said, electric chair. I think they were environmentalists and saved the electricity. Used a short rope instead.

Typical kids taking in the history. Right!

Inmates.

One of the famous residents from the past.

Looking across the Colorado River to a mission.

Train leaving California coming into Yuma.

Just for our friend, Dick, in Fountain Hills.

Downtown, old town Yuma.

James and Jason would have had competition in Yuma.

The road to Mexico.

A quilt store. Who'd a guessed?

More lettuce from the Yuma valley headed to a store near you.
